Repertoire

The performance ability of an accordion duo offers huge possibilities for choosing repertoire in case of expectations of the organizers. duoAccosphere is interested simultaneously in contemporary music and transcriptions of music from past epochs. This is reflected in both the collaboration with composers and world premieres of new compositions (Wojciech Ziemowit Zych, Peter Machajdik, Kira Maidenberg-Todorova, Wołodymir Runchak, Renate Stivrina, Anna Sowa, Sven Ingo Koch, Maciej Zimka), as well as authorial arrangements of compositions derived from the piano, organ, chamber and orchestral literature.

The duo is particularly interested in Baroque music and the quest for the new means of interpretation in relation to the possibilities of modern accordion techniques. The repertoire of duo included transcriptions of all three concertos for two harpsichords by Johann Sebastian Bach, pieces by Jean Philippe Rameau and Domenico Scarlatti.

The repertoire of each of the concerts is individually tailored for the type of project and the acoustic conditions. Concert programs of duoAccosphere consists of both duo and solo performances, which raises the value of the duo and fully reflects the artistic potential of both artists.
